  • Merriam-Webster defines a key as a, “metal instrument that is used to open a lock or to start or access a mechanism.”

  • Check the original key you intend to copy. If it has one groove on the blade, it is a Schlage (SC1). This typically has a more rounded head and is used only in the USA and Canada. If the key has two grooves, it is a Kwikset (KW1). This will have an angular head and is common throughout North America. Below is a visual to help!


  • Our key are made of brass with a sand-blasted finish.

  • Natural oils from our hands, dirt, and overall wear will naturally make the key worn over time. This does not affect the function of the key.

  • For safety and liability reasons, we cannot accept or cut keys for you. We will never ask to send a photo or copy of your personal keys. In addition, please be mindful when posting photos of your keys online, as anyone can make a physical duplicate.


  • Lowe’s, Home Depot, or any lock smith should be able to accept a personal key to copy. Please make sure the key is cut on the correct side.

  • Order processing may be anywhere between 1-3 business days. Once processed, standard shipping can take 5-7 business days. Rush shipping will arrive within 1-2 business days

  • Yes! Your key will be shipped in a standard envelope. Bulk order? We’ll eat the cost. :)

  • At the moment, we do not ship internationally outside of North America, as the keyways we produce are restricted to use in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

  • We do our best to quality check all of our products, but minor imperfections may be out of our control. If you are not satisfied, returns and exchanges will be accepted within 10 days of receiving your purchase, granted the key is uncut and in its original condition. Return shipping may not be covered.
